Where are my jeans?

This morning we are getting to ready to go. Boo is in a hither because she can’t find any jeans and just won’t take my word that there are NONE in the laundry. Because evidently she must think I hide her clothes. ?

I said “Did you check that pile of clean clothes in your room?”

Boo: all huffy “MOM, they are NOT it there.”

Me: Well maybe when you get home from school you should try putting away that PILE of clothes then you would be able to find what you needed”

Boo: “No mom they are not in there I already looked”

Me: See previous comment.

Boo: Glare

Me: (to the tune of “If you’re happy and you know it”) “ If you love your mommy put a smile on your face, if you love your mommy put a smile on your face.”

Boo: Glare

Me: If you love your mommy put a smile on your face, if you love your mommy put a smile on your face.”

Boo: cracked a laugh and stomped off wailing “that’s not fair!”

I think I won that one, but the clothes WILL NOT be put away either, ….so maybe it’s a draw.

LOL

Does this same conversation go on at the home of every teenage girl around the country? It sounds hauntingly familiar. I don't sing, though.
Omega is always missing clothes. She has about 6 good friends that she swaps outfits with regularly, and she accuses ME of losing them??

I have three loads of washed laundry that is spilling over the basket - and sitting in my living room. I seriously need to get them folded and put up! Maybe if I sing a little jingle like you did, I can get the energy to finish it. Something along the lines of "Red, Red, Wine...." Hmmm, maybe not.

You crack me up! I never would have thought about singing at her! I'd have suggested she might like to start doing her own laundry, then she'll know where everything is!!LOL

Definitely a draw. But funny.

My 13 year old daughter has done her own laundry since she was 10. She usually puts it away too.
The singing idea is great

I usually make bets, in fact yesterday my preteen had NO socks at all anywhere... I told her if I found a pair in her clean clothes basket, she had to give me a dollar/wash dishes/take out trash (insert what ever you wish here) Right then the sock god's came to her and presented a perfectly pair of matched folded socks in her basket, that CLEARLY were not there before.

I like is it SO much better when I walk right to the spot that I KNOW where they are at and say "ARE THESE THE FRIGGIN JEANS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR?" - FYI - boys do this too...

Uh, is your daughter 12 or 13? Are you talking about my daughter? This is surreal!

Not my first visit to your blog but my first comment. Glad I finally got around to leaving one. YOu know us men, always set out to do something but never quite finish. Good to "see" you by the way. Cool pic.

Might get you to come over and control my daughter once she becomes a teen.

Be safe
