New Years

New Year's Eve, we went to Kearney, to eat with some friends. My first mistake was asking Tink if she wanted to come along. Boo went to a friends for a sleepover. I thought my friend was bringing her son too, but evidently he changed his mind. So we picked this bar/restaurant, locally owned, so that put us at 5. which is, of course, more than 4 and less than 6 and evidently the hostess had her head straight up her arse and couldn't figure out how to seat 5 and then ended up putting us in a booth that seats 4. And needless to say when we tried to fix the situation by adding an additional chair, we became a fire hazard and that was NOT allowed. And that's all I'm saying except that I probably will not be going back there to eat any time soon.

Then we talked about a movie, but the couple we were with were going to meet up with their kids to play miniature golf and expected us to go with them. IT was all right, not the funnest ever, but okay. Then we came home. I had a very difficult time keeping my eyes open on the ride home and when we got home and I hit the couch that was pretty much it. Tink says she said it was midnight, but I was too comatose to hear, next thing I know its 12:30 and hubby says i'm going to bed. To which I got up and went to bed.

New Year's day, hubby made brunch - omelette's & toast- and we went for a walk.

My New Year's, oh I don't want to actually call it a resolution, but that's probably what it is, is to get to exercising more regularly. So hubby, Tate & I went for a walk. By the time we got home again it was time for the Gator Bowl - Nebraska 26 Clemson 21! Go Big Red!! I didn't really watch much. I'm kinda superstitious. I think, they don't play as well when I'm watching, they do better if I don't pay much attention. Which is what I did, mostly. I did some laundry-folding included-, took down the Christmas tree, and paraphernalia and put back up some snowman crap. That was pretty much my day. But it was nice just being home and putting around as I pleased.

Today my car went into the shop. The "low oil" light has come on a couple of time and we've had to , duh, add oil. And guess what. It's going to cost around $1,200 to fix - which is about the cars total worth. So I don't know what we are going to do. Plus the compresser on the heat pump is making a funny noise and they are coming on Monday to look at that and that may very well make the decision for us.

And there is one more thing i'm kinda bumming about, but it's difficult to explain, so just send me some cheer if you got a little extra!

Have a great weekend!
